MEET DANA BAKICH
Say hello to Dana Bakich, founder of Positive Equation, a social media consultant agency for positive driven businesses. Dana is incredible at what she does and we wanted to get to know the boss babe behind the M A G I C and introduce you to her!
Tell us more about what you do and how you empower the community of women around you.
I founded a social media consultancy
just over two years ago focused on equipping nonprofits and purpose-driven businesses with the tools and resources to build impactful digital strategies. I empower women around me by investing in them. From the clothing I purchase to the people I employ, I also try and find women to collaborate and spend my dollar with.
Tell us more about your space/aesthetic?
My workspace is currently a corner in our guest room. #Hustle is real! I love to be surrounded by natural light and inspirational quotes.
What is your favorite room in your home?
In our home, I really like our living room. It has a modern "Architectural Digest" feel with lots of neutral colors and wood.
Who or what inspires you?
So many! All the female entrepreneurs I aspire to inspire me - Marie Forleo, Jenna Kutcher, Sophia Amoruso. They inspire me with their journeys. Every time I'm feeling down, I look at their long roads that led to success and know that I'm on my own journey reaching for the next goal. I'm also inspired by my clients. They are so passionate and put in the long hours to make a genuine difference in the world.
What are you most proud of in the work that you do?
I paused last year to reflect on how incredible and diverse my client's cause-related work was. I was working on digital strategies to help men's health, create play equity in youth sports, end human trafficking, inspire the next generation of tennis greats, and spread love while feeding the homeless. I don't think there's anything better than working on these crucial issues in humanity to help change a life.
Anything you want to share with us about your passions?
I'm really excited about the next step in my business. I've come to the strong realization that I'm just one person. I can only work with so many organizations. With that understanding, I'm working on something pretty cool that will allow purpose-driven businesses to connect all over the world and learn from one another. More coming soon... :)
